As the 2009-2010 Sprintcar Season is drawing to a close, everyones eager eyes are turning to the highly anticipated 2010 Australian Sprintcar Title in Darwin.
With a huge nomination list of 54 cars, Maxwill Racing Engines is being well represented. Just looking at the betting odds, it shows this is anyones Title to win.
The biggest news of late is the nomination of previous Australian Champion Brooke Tatnell, teaming up with current Australian 360 Sprintcar Champion Allan Barlee. The pair are teaming up to run a two car assault utilising Maxwill Racing Engines.
The evergreen Max Dumesny is lined up in his Maxwill Racing Engines, Valvoline, Maxim, utilising his new, revolutionary Maxim Chassis, that has brought him some great form of late, proving to be a big chance for another Australian Championship.
Also, you cannot discount South Aussie Trevor Green, who will be coming back from a 6 month forced hiatis, recovering from back injuries sustained in a crash earlier in the season. Trevor is confident that his comeback meeting will be a successful one for his Maxwill Racing Engines, Adrad Radiator Experts team, after coming so close to the Championship last year, finishing runner up.
The local talents of former Speedcar Australian Champion, the Top End Terminator, Warrenne Ekins will be the local favourite, with a huge amount of preperation going into this Championship. Ekins is coming into the Championship in fine form after winning the last three Chariots of Thunder Series at the Hidden Valley venue.
Top End local Jason McIver is also very well prepared for the Championship, and has had some great results at the venue over the last couple of seasons, utilising Maxwill Racing Engines.
Visiting Drivers such as the talents of Jamie Maiolo from WA, as well as South Aussie Jamie Cobby have been showing excellent form and shouldnt be taken out of the equation. Maiolo has visited the venue last season, recording some great results.
