Saturday night saw the running of the final round of the Tyrepower Parramatta Raceway Track Championship, and it was an all Dumesny show.

In front of a huge crowd Max Dumesny, wheeling his Valvoline, Maxwill Racing Engines, Maxim, claimed the feature win, but it was the safe seventh place finsh of son Mitch Dumesny, handing him his second consecutive TPCR Track Championship.

All Mitch had to do to claim the Track Championship was perform well in the feature race, and did just that, finishing on the tail of his nearest rival. Driving his Valvoline Engine Armour, Maxwill Racing Engines, Maxim consistantly all through his Championship campaign earn't him the win, claiming it just 44 points ahead of his nearest rival, making it one of the closest finishes in years.

Mitch admitted "It was alot tougher than last season, everyone has really come up in pace and the competition is so much more even."

Max Dumesny racked up his 38th career A Main win at TPCR with an excellent drive. The race was stopped early with a red light, but one the race found rhythm, Max worked methodically to set up a pass on the race leader with 12 laps remaining.

Max was very appreciative of his team stating "we have wrecked two cars in the last three meetings and the crew have worked hard all week after the wreck we had last week".

Max Dumesny now heads to the Easter Trail whilst Mitch will run as Reigning Track Champion at TPCR on Saturday night before running at the Warrnambool round of the Easter Trail.
