Alan Barlee has come away from the weekend victorious, winning the 40 lap Australian 360 Championship at South Australia's Murray Bridge Speedway. With a very competitive field, the weekend was filled with both great racing and plenty of action.
Northern Territory resident Barlee, starting from the second row of the grid quickly got into second position, putting alot of pressure on the reigning 360 Champion, Ryan Jones, before making a daring outside move on lap 22 to take control of the race. From there Barlee, driving his Maxwill Racing Engines Sprintcar was never challenged for the lead.
Throughout the weekend there was plenty of action on the track, with a huge accident in the preliminary nights A Main, loosing 4 cars on the first lap, including Alan Barlee.
Barlee will continue his South Australian campaign, after already taking in 2 months of racing down south, and proudly display Australia 1 on the tail tank at the up coming Speedway City round.
