Jamie Maiolo has extended his lead in this years AHG Sprintcar Series by virtue of a convincing win in the latest round at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday January 2.

The night started off with David Element utilising a Maxwill Racing Rental Engine, setting quick time around the venue, with first season rookie Ben Maiolo setting 3rd quickest time in his LJM Produce, Maxwill Racing Engines, J&J.

After setting 6th fastest time, Jamie Maiolo, driving his LJM Produce, Maxwill Racing Engines, J&J, shone in the heats, to secure a pole starting position for the stacked A Main. Setting out to an early lead, Maiolo survived many yellow lights to stay in the lead for the entire duration of the race. Fellow front row starter David Ellement held his position early but was passed later in the race by Ben Ellement.

After a crash in the heat races, Ken Sartori, wheeling his Cowara Contractors, Maxwill Racing Engines, Maxim, drove from his 16th starting position to an exceptional 5th finish, making him the hard charger of the night.

When the flag fell, 5 of the top 6  finishers were powered by Maxwill Racing Engines, and had extended Jamie Maiolos series lead from 17 points to a very commanding 40 point lead with Ken Sartori sitting in 3rd. The points battle is tight with David Ellement, Shaun Bradford, Ben Ellement, Brad Maiolo and Kris Coyle all in contention with there Maxwill Racing Engines.
