Brooke Tatnell kicked off his Australian racing campaign in great style, winning the first round of the World Series as he attempts to win his 3rd consecutive Championship for the Krikke Motosports Team.
The night started in great fashion for Maxwill Racing Engines, with Max Dumesny wheeling his Valvoline, Maxwill Racing Engines, Maxim, around Brisbane International Speedway, setting quick time, 0.147 seconds quicker than second fastest Brooke Tatnell.
Brooke Tatnell, driving his Toyota Genuine Parts, Maxwill Racing Engines, Cool, went on to win the Top 8 Shootout and earned number 1 starting position for the A Main.
Running second for the first 7 laps of the feature, Brooke drove past Ryan Farrell into turn 1 and opened up a handy lead. Midway through the feature Max Dumesny started to really come on strong and found himself passing for Second position. With only a couple of laps to go Max attempted a pass on the reigning WSS Champion, but Brooke responded and drove ahead to the chequered flag, making the first round of the World Series Championship a Maxwill Racing Engines 1-2.
Round 2 of the World Series Championship is to be held on the 28th of November at Toowoomba's Charlton Speedway.
