MVB takes first ever Avalon Win

Mike Van Bremen has started the 2009/2010 Sprintcar Premiership in great form with his first ever feature race win at Avalon Raceway in his 15th season of Sprintcar racing.
Mike Van Bremen, two times SRA Champion, started out of position 2 next to fellow Maxwill Racing Engines competitor Nick Lacey to finish First, and claim the opening round honours.

 
The second generation rookie, Lacey was showing his more experienced challengers, he has what it takes, by qualifying on top after the heats, as well as setting quick time in the Shootout. Unfortunately Lacey succumbed to a flat right front early in the A Main.
Heat races went to fellow Maxwill Racing Engines competitors, Mike Van Bremen and New South Welshman Eddie Lumbar.
The great drive from Mike Van Bremen leaves him 10 points ahead in the series, with round two held at Mt Gambiers, Borderline Speedway on November 21.
